Home Sweet Home?

Well I am back in Athens and it certaintly is dead around here. Its kinda nice though. I never really get much time to be physically alone these days and its a welcome change from always having someone around. As much as I would like to be able to call Columbus my home, every time I go there I have to leave kicking and screaming. It really is a bittersweet thing. Its nice to be surrounded by familiar places and the faces of old friends. But of course those good feelings never last. Seems all I will remember from columbus this time is that I got my first ever ticket (non-parking) and that on my way back to athens, my radiator cap disappeared and my car overheated. It seems like Columbus is just trying to suck me in so I can never leave. Sigh...

On a lighter note, on my way back to Athens, I decided to stop in Atl to get some gas, and while I was doing that I decided to stop by Caribou Coffee in midtown to get a mint reindeer drink. yum yum. I just LOVE those things. After that I went to outwrite and got some magnets for my refridgerator and then I stopped at Blakes to get a beer before I left for athens. While at Blakes I ran into Rakeesh and his friend Brian, which ended up being great fun. We just talked and drank and then ended up being contestants in the Blake's Family Feud Challenge. It was pretty scary... I was thinking, 'oh family feud, how fun. I'd love to play'. Little did I know when they said family feud, they really did mean 'family' feud. It was the gayest feud I'd ever seen, with far too much nakedness going on. And the scary drag queen took my pants off and looked at my boxers!! GASP!. it was all really crazy. But in the end our team won (of course), and 100 dollars was donated to the charity of our choice and we chose Juvenile Diabetes. So that was really cool. Pretty much after that I just went home ot athens and got to bed around 2.30. But I got a phone call around 3 so I stayed up for a bit to chat.

As for now, just sitting in my room. Playing City of Villians, Listening to Music, watching stargate... not a care in the world. It really is quite nice. Funny how sometimes you can be completely alone and at the same time feel like you have everything you ever wanted or needed right there within you... and other times you can be completely alone and it feels like nothing else matters but having someone to share your time and thoughts with. Luckily for me, I'm feeling pretty content right now.
